Caitlyn Jenner aseksueel?

Dit is al van een tijd geleden, maar ik las een tijdschrift (US weekly 11 mei 2015) en daar stond een artikel over Caitlyn in. (Heb ff alle Bruce's in Caitlyn veranderd en alle hij's in zij's.)

declared herself "asexual."
The Caitlyn source says
she needs time to "figure
things out." That's common
during a transition, says
Mary Andres, a psychologist
at the University of
Southern California. She
tells Us, "With female
hormone treatment, there
is sometimes less sex drive,
and less focus on sexual
behavior until one's life is in
order." For now, Caitlyn can
take pride in a gold-medal
showing at the interview.
As she told Sawyer, "2015 is
going to be quite a ride."

One thing that's always been true is her passion for women. That's no longer the case, she told Sawyer.

"I'm asexual," Jenner said.

"There's two different things here," Jenner explained. "Sexuality is who you personally are attracted to — who turns you on — male or female. But gender identity has to do with who you are as a person and your soul, and who you identify with inside, OK?"

Jenner said she considers herself "asexual ... for now," but that could change: "I'm gonna learn a lot in the next year," she admitted.




Het komt een beetje op mij over alsof ze niet echt de "officiële" betekenis van aseksualiteit kent (ontbreken van seksuele aantrekking), maar het meer zo zegt als: op dit moment heb ik echt andere zaken aan mijn hoofd.
